Splitting the crankcase

Postby GA_RR on Mon Apr 27, 2009 12:02 pm

I need to split the crankcase of a '91 750. I've removed all the bolts but it's still stuck together. Does anyone know if it's necessary to pull the alternator/flywheel/etc before trying to split them. I'm trying to avoid this if possible because the threads on the flywheel are messed up and I can't use the standard flywheel puller tool to remove it. Any other tips or tricks to this job are appreciated as well.

TIA
