New to site / Problem with my NH!

Postby Scooterhooter on Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:33 am

Greetings & Salutations. I have long visited the site and enjoyed it. Figured it's about time I joined.

I currently enjoy a 2001 black NH750. Absolutely love it. I purchased with less than 3,000 miles on the clock. It currently has 109,000 miles on it. In the last couple thousand miles the engine began showing a slight vibration between 3-5K RPMs. It is accompanied by a slight reduction in fuel mileage (from the lower 40s to the upper 30s). I pulled the nearly new spark plugs to investigate. They all look, well, nearly new and all four look exactly the same. Resistance on the plug wires and coils checks out great. I don't think it is due to old gas or gunk in the carbs. This bike is ridden at least once a day, year-round. Anyone have any ideas? Any/all suggestions greatly appreciated.

It has been a couple of months since your post. Have you found the problem? I am new to the site, with the purchase of a almost perfect 1999 CB750 with 9000 miles on the clock.
